OSEA Video Review

What is OSEA?

OSEA is a skincare brand that started in Malibu in 1996 by Jenefer Palmer and Melissa Palmer. The brand is built around the idea that “the ocean will heal you,” inspired by their grandmother, who swore that regular ocean swims healed one of her injuries. OSEA is a holistic brand that uses natural ingredients from the sea like seaweed and algae. It definitely has that beachy, ocean-inspired energy woven into everything from the branding to the scents and the ingredients. They make everything from face-care products like serums and cleansers to body-care favorites like body butter, body oil, and body wash.

OSEA Products Review

Undaria Algae Body Butter (my favorite)

Undaria Algae™ Body Butter

OSEA’s body butter is easily my favorite product of the bunch I’ve tried so far. It’s a whipped body butter that feels super indulgent. It’s rich, creamy, and hydrates better than anything else I’ve ever used without being too heavy. It uses Undaria seaweed, shea butter, and ceramides for that buttery-smooth texture.

Here’s What I Liked:

  • The texture is so nice and it feels like it just melts right into your skin. It’s so soft.
  • It lasts a really long time too. Your skin will feel hydrated for like two days after using this, and you can actually see the glow.
  • The scent is amazing. It’s a fresh, beachy vibe. So good.

My dislikes:

  • Not many complaints on this product. It’s really that good.

Undaria Algae Body Oil

Undaria Algae™ Body Oil

This is a luxurious seaweed-infused body oil that makes your skin feel very soft and smooth without being overly greasy. It has a citrusy mango scent that feels like something you’d get at a beach spa. Very refreshing and a bit boujee.

Here’s What I Liked:

  • It’s pretty lightweight and sinks in fast for a silky, not-too-greasy finish.
  • Like the body butter, it smells so good.
  • Works great as a massage oil.

My dislikes:

  • The glass bottle is slightly concerning. It’s beautiful and classy, but the oil can make it a little slippery before you fully rub it in, and I’m always afraid of dropping it and breaking the glass.
  • More of a summer product in my opinion. It’s lighter than the body butter, which is better for winter and really dry skin.

Ocean Cleanser

OSEA Ocean Cleanser

This cleanser is a gentle face wash that uses lactic acid to exfoliate your skin and give you a deep clean down to your pores without drying you out. Hydration is the name of the game with all of their products if you haven’t figured that out yet.

Here’s What I Liked:

  • I like how it goes on as a gel but builds a nice lather once you rub it in.
  • Very hydrating and doesn’t dry your skin out like some cleansers.

My dislikes:

  • The product is new to me, but I read in their reviews that they recently changed the formula, and there have been some bad reviews about the new version, so I’m curious if the old formula was better.
  • I enjoy the scent of the other products more than this one.

Hyaluronic Sea Serum

OSEA Hyaluronic Sea Serum

This product comes in a little serum bottle with a dropper to apply to your face. It’s made to help reduce the look of lines and wrinkles while also hydrating your skin.

Here’s What I Liked:

  • Leaves your skin feeling dewy and hydrated without that oily, slick feeling.
  • The pink microalgae gives it a luxury, spa-like vibe.
  • Really helped add moisture to my skin when it was feeling a little dry.

My dislikes:

  • It’s a bit pricey at $88.
  • It can feel a little too heavy if you’re wearing it under makeup or if it’s humid outside.

Conclusion, Is OSEA Worth Buying?

In my opinion, OSEA is most definitely worth it. It’s a splurge, but it is soooo nice and perfect if you want to treat yourself. If you’re trying to really hydrate your skin, it’s one of the best options out there. And if you love a beachy, ocean vibe and scent, you will be obsessed. It also makes a great gift. Plus, I have an OSEA discount code for you girls that will save you 10% off anything across the site.
